The Ultimate Fitness board is here to test you to the max. Bump up your traditional exercise routine with additional core tightening full body workout in less time. Adding a degree of instability to your moves helps engage more muscles and requires postural stability. This ultimately translates to better function for daily living and sport performance. A great addition to your current exercise plan.
Variety Is The Spice Of Life:
We offer the largest balance boards so you can get into natural positions like the lunge, wide squat, quadruped (hands and feet), on your back or sitting fully extended. These positions are important because we perform them daily. Add the Resistance Bands to stimulate more control for posture stability. With a combination of Half Balls and Resistance Bands you can progress to more complex exercises and continually challenge the same exercise in endless configurations.
Any Place and Any Way- Half Balls For Ultimate Pivot Point Placements:
The Ultimate Fitness does not feature a bottom rail like our Original or Starter Boards. This gives you the freedom to place the Half Balls in any configuration under the board. The blank space is you ready for your creativity. Place in multiple locations or angles and create a pivot point under the right side, left side middle or diagonal positions. For example, create a rocker board under the very left side of the board and fire up the left leg and rock left and right to focus on angle mobility. Simply remove Half Ball and create a Wobble Board under the left leg and allow your feet to move in all directions and focus on foot mobility.
Balance On This:
Build your custom training package by adding Half Balls or the BOSU Strap. Use two Half Balls to create a Rocker Board. This is the easiest board because it moves left and right and requires two directions of stability. Progress in difficulty and use one Half Ball to create a Wobble Board. This will allow the board to tilt in all directions and require full range of motion. With one Half Ball you can also rotate the board and further stimulate mutli-direction training.
5" Small Half Balls:
The beginner sized 5" Half Ball is great for a fast tilting board without a lot of range of motion required. You stay low and will feel secure being 3 inches from the ground. The board will ground itself to a stop without requiring a lot of ankle or wrist range of motion. The perfect tool for pre / post surgery rehab, acute injury exercises, kids or beginners who only need a little motion to get great benefits. These Half Balls tilt quickly compared to larger ones and a fun game for advanced users is to train quick coordination to avoid touching the board to the ground.
6.5" Medium Half Balls:
The intermediate sized 6.5" Half Ball gives you greater range of motion for users who are ready to advanced 4 inches from the ground. A great combination of fast board motions with extra range of motion for greater core strength control. The size is great if you are working with a variety of users and skill levels. Progress into complex exercises such as medicine ball tosses, battle ropes or jump training on and off the board.
8.5" Large Half Balls:
The advanced sized 8.5" Half Ball allows you to rock and wobble 5 inches from the ground. This requires a lot of range of motion from your ankle or wrists when the board rests against the ground at an angle. This is best for advanced users who feel secure with the board motions, have full range of motion of their joints and can safely control a large amount of motion. This is a very fun combination for full body exercises like the qudruped, crab, dips and bridges. Advanced athletes will enjoy the extra range of motion for hip or shoulder mobility for better core strength and posture awareness.

DynaDisc Balance Cushion:

Elysia's Notes:
Wow! I love our Ultimate Fitness Board and especially love our new advanced design. For years I easily traveled to the park with the Resistance Bands and Half Balls attached to the carry handle. I could add this into my fitness class circuit with the confidence it would dramatically increase the difficulty of an exercise and still be user friendly for beginners.I also love that I can place a big standing surface over multiple types of balance tools that may be limited in small size. Over the years I wanted to do a re-design, square off the edges so it could stand on end easily, grab it from both ends for additional exercises and be able to place it on the BOSU. Going back to the drawing board was fun and I am so happy to be able to share this board with you.

Basic Combos: From Beginner to Advanced
1. Rocker Board: 2 Half Balls
Place Half Balls flat side up for faster tilt. Using two creates a Rocker Board that tilts in 2 directions - Left and Right for example. The farther the Half Balls are from one another, the more stable the surface. You can place them very close together for more challenge. This is great for holding a position and rocking the board left and right to activate your muscle coordination.
2. Wobble Board: 1 Half Ball
Place 1 Half Ball under your board and it will tilt in all directions and allow you to twist the board. Place in the center for an equal weight distribution. Place to the side and you will activate the side directly over the Half Ball. This is great for developing strength on one side if it is weaker or unable to function the same after an injury.
Resistance Bands:
Add Resistance for Greater Body Awareness:
Your Ultimate Fitness board is the perfect platform to use with or without the Half Balls. Perhaps you want to focus on the Resistance Bands coming from multiple angles or attachment sites without a challenging moving balance surface. Adding resistance gives you the option to fight the downward forces towards the board. Anchor the straps anywhere in the 8 attachment holes, attach the resistance band and then add the handles or foot straps. You can have resistance from any angle and keep your body guessing what's next. This stimulates more posture awareness and strength to keep your position.
Combo With Your Sports Equipment:
Make it more sport specific by strapping your sports equipment to the end our resistance band. Imagine a tennis racquet, baseball bat, steel mace or kettlebell in your hands being pulled downward toward the board. There is plenty of room to attach the Resistance Bands, the BOSU Strap and your sports equipment. Sounds like one awesome exercise!
BOSU Strap System:
Gentle Movement Flow and Landing Your Jumps:
Sometimes you need a more forgiving balance board compared to our very responsive Half Balls. Strap your Si Board to a BOSU to get the sensation of floating on air. Movement flow is easier and more fluid. Perfect for partner drills, going from horizontal to vertical exercises, beginners learning balance and advanced athletes adding jumps and other equipment.
Use A Burst Resistance Stability Ball:
You can also add a burst resistance Stability Ball under the board and strap it in. We use a 55 cm that is deflated 1/4. This is a very advanced set-up when standing or jumping on the board. This is a great skill progression for learning push-ups, dips or bridges.
Please note:
Use a BOSU and burst resistant Stability Ball in good condition. Check for defects or damage before using and follow all safety guidelines. We are not responsible for damage to your exercise equipment or injury. Exercise within your skill level, with a spotter and safety equipment.

Can I buy a Si-Board without any safety rail? I realize I could always just unscrew the rail myself, but it'd be nice to have an unmarked board if possible. I'd really like a board I could ride to the edge on. I realize such a setup could be dangerous, but I think it would be okay on a reasonably sized ball, and most importantly very fun.
The steel rail is permanently fixed to the board. To remove it you would have to drill out all the bolts. The thickness of the board is also too thin to ride on a ball there is too much flex without the rail. We do have the Ultimate Fitness board without a rail. It has a handle and perimeter holes to attach bands. We also have a bosu strap designed so you can strap this board to a bosu and get some unique training. It's hard to describe but its like floating and tilting in all directions on a gentle movement.
Another option is to get the 10" ball and now you really want to get to the edge- love it. What you can do is place your feet inside the rail and close to it, that way you can feel what it would be like to be close to the edge. The ultimate fitness board is 5/8" thick and can handle some flex. For you on that 10" ball, I think a 3/4" ply board would be good. It was be stiff and responsive, about as heavy as what you have now though. I don't know if it would work, but you could maybe turn the board over and ride it that way with the rail up. I do know that, once you get momentum going and you don't have the rail to slam into, it will shoot out from under you like a jet plane.
