Surf Inspired:

Get our popular design in the Surf Starter and zero in on the next wave. We shaved weight off the nose to carve a turn with quicker precision compared to our elliptical models. The stable fish/swallow tail keeps your base grounded as you whip this board in, out and around. Bump up your dry land training and your next session will be amazing.

Get Your Feet Wet:

Large ride stance area can be used directly over the bolt holes or moved out another 6" inches to the ends. Plenty of space for two balls or half balls for upper body exercises. Pop up moves will require you to keep a narrow landing stance over to the rail with this model. This board will allow a variety of moves and positions

Balance On This:

Get Started Here:

Create your own unique combo with this board. Add the Balls and Half Balls that meet your training needs as you progress in skills or the kids outgrow the rail size. Features an adjustable rail that can be lengthened or shortened in 4" or 8" inch sections. A great board choice for those who will grow with their board and want to practice a wide range of stances.

3" Mini Balls:

3" Mini Ball is quick, responsive and requires fine tuning of your movements. With little board tilt and a ton of forward and backward ride space, your board control will always be challenged to stay level. Staying centered is no easy feat with this Mini Ball. Combine both balls under the board for the double pivot system for skill progression

6.5" Half Balls:

6.5" Half ball gives you greater board tilt and ability to rotate on the half ball. Perfect for developing your carving and rotation power as you kick this board around. Place the 3" Mini Balls inside of the 6.5" Half Ball to create the Thrasher or Rock and Roll advanced combo. Place the 5" Ball inside the 6.5" Half Ball to create the Big Drop combo. These are both great for unpredictable movements to simulate rough water or windy conditions.

Extend Your Rail and Ride Space

Customize Your Balance Board!

All Si Boards Starter Boards come with an adjustable urethane rail. All parts are interchangeable with the same interlocking joint system. Starter Boards come with a smaller rail compared to the Original Boards and give you the option to extend your rail to the maximum ride space. Progress or regress your ride space based on your skills.

Can I Use 4" Extensions?

Yes! This extension length gives your 24" of ride space. If using existing hole configuration your rail will be offset more to the back or front of the board. An offset rail will focus your ride skills to either the back or front of the board. If you want a centered rail you will need to drill a completely new hole pattern.

Can I use 8" Extensions?

Yes! This is the best Rail Extension length. This gives you maximum ride space to 28" similar to our Surf Original board. The rail will be centered and 6 new holes will need to be drilled. It is best to use the 5" Small Ball and 6.5" Half Ball for optimal performance.

Elysia's Notes:

Most new Si Boarders choose this board because they want to learn how to surf or want to stay in shape between sessions. Many added the 8" rail extensions to get a wider stance. I love this board for the large ride surface and small compact rail. It stores easily and fits into bags for travel. I know I can train a variety of users in full body moves and rotational control.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • I was thinking maybe the surf board would go nice with 2 size 1 soccer balls until I can grab the balls from you eventually.

Air filled balls, especially soccer balls will be too flimsy in the long run and will break and deform readily. I know from experience and I'm 130 lbs. In the short term the investment may seem ok but then the time and effort of dealing with broken equipment can be more costly than the initial investment.   You're better off finding something like a duckpin bowling ball or a hard med ball at least 8 lbs. If you get a Surf or Freestyle and you use the med ball you will be up nice and high and get maximum tilt and ride space. The solid and smooth surface of the ball is what makes the difference in riding.   The Surf is a nice ride because it gives you a little more space for standing and pop-ups. But either board will do the trick in learning how to surf and understanding balance. If you have the room for a larger board then it might be a good option.
