Key points- Fatigue = Increased injury rate. Can you compete to the end of the game, into over time, into post season play? Did you train in the off season? Ready for pre-season? Getting back into shape? Let's do it safely.⠀
At the end of your fatigue series try to do sport specific motions and hold your position. Can you control your heart rate, shaky legs and heavy breathing to make the game winning free throws?
Movements and progressions:
1: Si Board riding for dynamic balance control. Add the battle ropes for cardiovascular conditioning and upper body endurance.
2: Push-ups for anterior front side core strength
3: Dips for upper body core control, shoulder stability and thoracic extension
4: Bridges for lower body pelvic stability, hamstring activation for ACL injury prevention and posterior chain strength
5: Ball slams for hand eye coordination, reaction, eccentric strength controlling the ball rebound, squat to extension positions to simulate jumping and overhead sports
6: Cool down with our 6.5" Medium ball Active Release of your tissues that you just worked!

Push yourself past fatigue at round 4.⠀

Round 1, single ball, 6 key foundation movements:⠀
Ride with battle ropes, push-ups, dips, bridges. Then ball slams into ground- punching from shoulder and then jumping jack slams⠀

Round 2, single ball, movement x 2⠀
Ride with battle ropes, push-up with left/right and diagonal motion reps, dips with left/right motions, bridges with opposition reaches overhead and opposite straight leg board twist. Side step ball bounces to standing tall⠀

Round 3, single ball, multi-plane spine stability⠀
Ride with battle ropes, ground standing battle ropes, push-up with twist, push-up knee to elbow, dips with one foot raise and hold, bridge to crab position on hands with 6 foundation movements. Ball slams with outstretched arms for back stability, then slam and hold.

Round 4, two balls, fatigue!!!!⠀
Ride with battle ropes until tired then stand on ground and continue, 1 foot, 2 foot, kneeling, seated... I'm tired... Then sport specific skills like basketball free throw position. Push-up surf position moving board forward, back and diagonal, dip position hold with leg lift then leg circles, bridge position to crab to one hand lift. Add the steel mace in one hand, bridge up and hold yourself with one hand on the ground
