Designed For Skate Decks:

This Creator Skate Kit is designed to fit under most skateboard decks. A fun way to practice tricks and balance on a board made for you. A board with concave is the most difficult to ride due to the curved bottom. Totally fun and a unique ride with the curved nose and tail.

Designed For Small Feet:

This is the same rail designed featured on our Kick Start board. Small kids and toddlers had difficulty controlling the Original and Starter boards. This rail width ensures the ball will not roll past the feet. A great project for kids and way to get started on balance training.

Rail Extensions:

All Skate Kits feature a urethane rail that is pieced together. You can put in middle rail extensions to increase the length by 4" or 8". The rail can also be placed on a larger board. A great way to adjust and reuse your balance board as you gain in skill and height.

Please Note:

Use skateboard decks or other board tops in good condition. We are not responsible for damage to your deck or the platform you choose to attach to the rail. We suggest using a 7 ply skate deck or at least 9 ply if you are over 150 pounds. Note: the listed dimensions measure the outside of the rail.

Balance Board Combos To Fit Your Needs

Create your own unique combo that suits your needs. Add Balls and Half Balls for your training. Featuring an adjustable rail so you can grow with your board. A great option for young kids with smaller feet who quickly outgrow their clothes!

3" Mini Balls:

These are the smallest Balls and are very quick and responsive. They will keep you close to the ground and give you the sensation of floating on air. Beginners should start with these balls. If using on an extremely padded surface or deep carpet these balls will be absorbed and limit your ride motion. Use two balls to create a double pivot board and then progress your skills to one ball.

3" Half Balls:

These xsmall Half Balls are the perfect beginner size that will create a challenging surface. Perfect for toddlers and kids progressing to this board. Use two for a basic rocker board or one for a wobble board tilting in all directions. Half balls allow you to progress from the basics of balance or multi-task in complex motions as you progress.

Vortex 5" Half Balls:

Advanced designed 5" Half Ball designed for the the narrow DIY Creator Kit Skate Rail. Two sides are smooth to fit snug against the rail. The inside recessed area allows you to place the 3" Mini Ball inside and create the Thrasher combo for advanced balance training.

Elysia's Notes:

Grab and old skate deck and get started with balance training. The curvature of skate decks makes the most challenging board. You'll be hanging on and cramping your feet at first trying to find the sweet spot and balance. A great tool for sharpening your balance in a controlled environment before you hit the skate park. A great afternoon project for a ton of fun!

Balance Board Progression From Beginner To Advanced:

Basic Combos:

  1. Rocker Board: 2 Half Balls
  2. Wobble Board: 1 Half Ball
  3. Single Pivot Board: 1 Half Ball and 1 Ball
  4. Double Pivot Board: 2 Balls
  5. Multi-Direction Board: 1 Ball

Specialty Combos:

  1. Rock and Roll: 3" Mini Ball rolling inside a Vortex 5" Half Ball or 6.5" Half Ball at each end
  2. Thrasher: 3" Mini Ball rolling inside a Vortex 5" Half Ball or 6.5" Half
  3. Ball Big Drop: 5" Small Ball fixed tight inside a 6.5" Half Ball

Creator Kit Extension Kit comes with 4" pieces to add to your existing rail on all Starter boards and kits. Perfect for making your own balance board that meets your needs and skill level.
